This trips goes to Qoornoq and back. The combined travel time is about 4 hours. We stop along the way at the waterfall on the west side of Sermitsiaq and the bird cliffs on the west side of Bear Island.
The exact sequence is decided at departure and may vary according to weather. The bird cliff is not quite as spectacular as the one farther inland but it has a large nesting population of Iceland Gull and we sometimes see razorbill (lesser Auk) nesting on the cliffs. We go as close as we are permitted to the cliffs but not close enough to disturb the breeding birds.
